Abstract
Objective To study the correlation between serum cystatin-C(Cys-C) level and main adverse cardiovascular events(MACE)in patients with acute cardiovascular syndrome(ACS) after stent implantation. Methods Clinical data about 156 ACS patients who underwent stent implantation were retrospectively analyzed. The patients were divided into 4 groups according to their serum Cys-C level.Incidence of MACE was compared within 6 months after operation. The patients were then divided into MACE group and non-MACE group.Cys-C levels were compared between the two groups.Risk factors for MACE were analyzed by logistic regression analysis. Results The incidence of MACE and the Cys-C level were higher in MACE group than in non-MACE group29.3% vs 10.2%,(1.37±0.15)mg/L vs(1.11±0.18)mg/L,(P<0.01).Logistic regression analysis showed that the Cys-C level was one of the risk factors for MACE(OR=2.248,P<0.001). Conclusion Cys-C level in ACS patients is positively correlated with the incidence of MACE and is a risk factor for MACE after stent implantation.
