Abstract
Objective To study the mechanism of simulated flight underlying injury of aortic endothelial cells. Methods Sixteen male New Zealand rabbits were randomly divided into control group and model group,8 in each group.A simulated flight model of endothelial cells was established by centrifuge training.Levels of heme oxygenase-1(HO-1),endothelin-1(ET-1),molonyldialdehyde(MDA) and superoxide dismutase(SOD) in cell suspension were measured by ELISA. Results The activity of SOD in aortic endothelial cells was significantly lower, while the levels of MDA,HO-1 and ET-1 were significantly higher in model group than in control group(P<0.05). Conclusion Simulated flight can induce injury of endothelial cells by increasing oxidative stress and releasing ET-1,while HO-1 may have a self protective effect.
