Effective analysis of cervical cancer in postoperative radiotherapy

  • Objective: To analysis the clinical effect of cervical cancer treated by postoperative radiotherapy.Methods: There were 327 patients and stage Ⅰ for 97,Ⅱ for 214,Ⅲa for 16 and squamous cancer for 308 cases,adenocarcinoma 16 cases,adenosquamous carcinoma 3 cases.External irradiation was given 40-50 Gy in pelvis.Results: The total survival rate in 3、 5、 7 years were 94%、 75%and 63% for stage Ⅰ,83.2%、 64.5%and 45.8% for stage Ⅱ.There was only the 3-year survival for stage Ⅲa of 60.0%.Conclusion: The postoperative radiotherapy of cervical cancer is an effective method to increase the local control rate,lessen recurrence of pelvis and raise the long-term survival rate.The main factors affecting the survival are clinical stage,pathological types,tumor size and translating lymphoid.
