A survey of immune function for 95 medical team members in some military who have taken part in earthquake relief work in SiChuan

Objective: To evaluate immune function of 95 medical team members who have taken part in earthquake relief work in Wenchuan.Methods: The hematological parameters and percentage of T,B,NK cell subpopulations from peripheral blood of 95 medical members were measured by automatic blood analyzer and flow cytometry,and they were divided into different groups by age and different work environments.The statistic analysis have been done by different groups.Results: According to the distance to seimic origin from far to near,the medical team were divided into 3 groups,which were named as group A（Chengdu）,group B（Dujiangyan） and group C（Shuimo）.The percentage of CD3⁺T cells with group A and group B were lower than that with group C（P＜0.05）.The absolute value count of lymphocytes in group B was significantly lower than that in group C（P＜0.05）.The percentage of CD3^{+CD4+ T lymphocytes in female group was significantly higher than that of male group by different sex（P＜0.05）,and the value of CD4/CD8 in female group was higher than that of male group（P＜0.05）.Age had no effect on immune function of 95 medical team members.Conclusion: Environment have a certain impact on the absolute count of lymphocyte and the percentage of CD3+ T lymphocytes of medical team members,and immune function of women is significantly higher than that of men in this earthquake relief.}
