Determination of cobalt in cerums of 70 normal human

Cerum, also called ear wax, is excreated by subcutaneous cerum gland of outer ear channel. In recent years, it was succesfully used as a biopsy materials in researching organic chlorine pesticide residue in the environment.The high sensitive catalytic wave poloragraphie method was used to determine this element in the cerum of 70 normal human subjects. The result showed that the contents of it in cerums are between 0.05μg—18.88μg/g and lower levels were found in children, usually below 0.7μg/g. Statistically, there is no significant difference between male and famale.
