Abstract
Objective: To find out the distribution of E-cadherin and β-catenin in cryopreserved skins and investigate the relationship with cryoinjury. Methods: Immunohistochemical staining with antibodies of E-cadherin and β-catenin in 5 groups of skins. Results: Comparing to the normal human skin, The histological structure and E-cadherin、β-catenin level of skins stored at -196℃ in H anti-frozen liquid did not change significantly, while those in groups kept at 4℃、-20℃、-80℃ were destroyed. Conclusion: The skin cryoinjury is correlated with cell adhesion molecules.
