Flying trainees in a certain school obsoleted due to surgical diseases and dermatosis

Objective To analyze the flying trainees obsoleted due to surgical diseases and dermatosis in the past two years. Methods General physical examination of flying trainees was performed by the same group consisting of surgeons and dermatologists following the same standards. Results Of the 1 355 flying trainees enrolled in 2010,49（3.62%） were obsoleted due to 21 diseases（1.55%）.Of the 1 385 flying trainees enrolled in 2009,39（2.81%） were obsoleted due to 18 diseases（1.33%）. Conclusion The number of flying trainees obsoleted in 2010 was significantly greater than that obsoleted in 2009（P＜0.01）,while the number of diseases detected in flying trainees was significantly greater in 2009 than that detected in 2010（P＜0.01）,indicating that no consensus has been reached in experts of Air Force in different Military Area Commands and it is necessary to strengthen communications between them and their regular training.
