Analysis on detected results of troop volunteer blood donation and blood screening test in Beijing area

  • Objective: To investigate the composition of troop volunteer blood donors and to analyze the blood screening test changes of the infectious diseases associated with blood transfusion.Methods: The basic data of troop volunteer blood donors were collected since January 2000 to November 2007.The blood donations were divided into four groups by age of 18-25,26-35,36-45 and 46-55.The changes of age group and sex were analyzed by SPSS software.ALT was detected by velocity.HBsAg,anti-HCV,anti-HIV and anti-TP were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).Results: 100 879 plasma samples were tested,included 91 678 males' and 9 201 females'.There were no obvious changes for the sex ratio during study period.However,the order of the donation numbers for each age group was changed from 26-35>18-25>36-45>46-55 to 18-25>26-35>36-45>46-55 years old.Totally,there were 8 637 samples disqualified.In 2002,the ratio of disqualified samples reached top during study years(10.9%).The reasons of disqualified sample in order were ALT(6.42%),HBsAg(0.85%),anti-HCV(0.44%),anti-TP(0.19%) and anti-HIV(0.005%).Conclusion: Youth solider,which was 18-25 years old became the main volunteer blood donors.The incidence of infectious diseases associated with blood transfusion had a decrease trend.
