A performance analysis of outpatient departments in our hospital after its function transformation

Objective To serve the outpatients more conveniently,efficiently with humanity by changing the traditional mode of outpatients to a doctor. Methods Following measures were taken,such as making clear duties and responsibilities of medical staff at different levels,providing people-oriented service,optimizing medical environment,simplifying doctor-seeing process,standardizing medical service,establishing convenient clinic and specialist consultation center,strengthening medical information management and training of medical staff,so as to ensure all-directional function transformation in outpatient departments. Results When the above measures were taken,the enthusiasm of medical staff at different levels was mobilized,the number of patients who visited the outpatient departments was significantly increased,the satisfactory degree of patients and the income of our hospital were significantly higher than before the measures were taken. Conclusion Conscientiously realizing the function transformation of outpatient departments and meeting the different medical needs of patients can gain both economic and social benefits in our hospital.
