NON-INVASIVE LEFT VENTRICULAR FUNCTION TEST （LVFT） IN 164 NORMAL MIDDLE-AGED AND OLDER SUBJECTS

LVFT was studied in 164 middle-age and older subjects by the simultaneous records of EGG, CPT, APG, PCG and record of IPG. All the subjects were older than 31, years of age, 120 of them being over 41. Totally, 37 indexes were obseved. According to statistical analysis, the normal ranges of the indexes were obtained （some of them given in Tab. 1 & 2）. Some indexes were markedly affected by the cardiac rate, and their regressive equations also estimated. As for the relation between the indexes and the age, they were divided into classes, including: 1) some showing no obvious differences in MAS & EAS.2) some showing close relationships between the index values and the ages. In the latter, SV. CO, GT & W2/VOMO decreased; TPR & AH/EOH exaggerated; and TICT, IRT, RFWT elongated, being of significance between MAS & EAS（p＜0.01～0.05）. The recognition of these LVF changes is of help in the differentiation of physiological changes and the understanding of the coronary heart disease, and other general cardiovascular diseases in the older people.Although in the 1st group the indexes didn’t show significant difference related to the ages, many of them revealed significance in reflecting the patholgical conditions of cardiovascular disease in older ones. These facts will be discussed in detail in other papers.
