Measurement of HDL subclasses with microprecipitation procedures

According to Gidez’s precipitation procedures, we use PEG to precipitate LDL, VLDL, and Dextran sulfate （Mass≈27000≈30000） to precipitate HDL₂ and enzymic procedures for measuring HDL-C and subclasses are established. The procedures are simple, quick, reliable （cv=4.0%） and no special equipment is needed. 0.1 ml serum is used in this method, so it’s suitable for clinical laboratory and epidemiological studies.
