Animal experiment and clinical research on interaction of succinylcholine and atracuronium

  • The interaction of succinycholine and atracuronium was studied both in animal experiment and clinical practiec. The result of the animal experiment showed that when atracuronium was combind with S. C. C, there was no change in onset and maximum depressipn time, but recovery time and duration were signicantlly prolonged (P<0.01), along with the degree of blockade and peak effective time declined (5-10). Clinically, hall intubation paralyzing dose of atracuronium(0.15mg/kg booy weight ED50) and S. C. C (0.5mg/kg ED95) were observed in six patients with checking respiratory parameters. Compaired with atracuronium alone, the onset time was shortened and the time of respiratory depression and recovery were prolonged when atracuronium was used together with S. C. C.
