Abstract
The article reported four cases of olivo-ponto-cerebellar atrophy(OPCA) confirmed by CT scan. It was emphasized that CT scan had an important value for the diagnosis of OPCA in these cases. CT scan is an efficient complemental means by which diagnosis of OPCA with typical manifestation may be made. The typical feature of CT scan has been also proved to be helpful in cases of OPCA with atypical maaifestation, for example, with cerebellar symptoms and signs not complicated by other clinical manifestation of nerve system damage. But, OPCA with typical clinical manifestation can not be excluded in cases with negative CT scan, because abnormality of brain morphology may be too little to be showed by CT scan.
