Abstract
The effects of Dauricine on ischemia-reperfusion induced myocardial injury in rabbits was studied. Dauricine reduced infarct size, protected myocardial SOD activities, decreased myocardial MDA content and reduced myocardial ultrastructure damage. These results suggested that Dauricine could protect ischemia-reperfusion induced myocardial injury. It may be mediated through inhibition of neutrophils infiltration into ischemia-reperfusion myocardium and decrease production of oxygen-derived free radicals.
