Abstract
objective: to establish a reference value of the reticulocytes counts and its subpopulation in the healthy child and adolescence. Methods: The reticulocytes were counted by automated hematology analyzer(ADVIA 120) with oxazine 750 as fluorochrome in 628 the healthy child and adolescence. Results: The Student s t-test showed that there were significant differences((P<0.05))between the healthy child group and adolescence group for reticulocyte percentage(RET),reticulocyte Absolute number(RET#),High fluorescence reticulocytes(HFR),middle fluorescence reticulocytes(MFR) and low fluorescence reticulocytes(LFR).But there were no significant differences(P>0.05)between male and female in the same group for the 5 parameters. They were 0.0153±0.0054,(68.87±24.21)×109/L,0.8424±0.0541,0.1239±0.0392 and 0.0339±0.0238 in the healthy child group. They were 0.0129±0.0040,(59.37±18.23)×109/L,0.8926±0.0434,0.0933±0.0339 and(0.0141±)0.0132 in the healthy adolescence. Conclusions: Reference value of reticulocytes percentage(RET),reticulocytes Absolute valume(RET#) and reticulocytes subpopulation were correlated with age and not correlated with sex a in the healthy child and adolescence.reticulocytes count;reference values;child;adolescence
