Abstract
Objective To establish a culture method of dorsal root ganglion(DRG) cells from rats in patch clamp experiments. Methods DRG cells from rats were isolated using microsurgical instruments under microscope and cultured.Morphology of the cultured cells was observed and their resting electric potential was recorded using patch-clamps.Results The morphological structure of cultured DRG cells was intact, their resting electric potential was normal, and the Na+ channel current could be recorded. Conclusion Cultured DRG cells from new-born rats can be used in patch-clamp experiments.
