Study of several military hospital deans' attitude and orientation of occupation choices

  • Objective: To determine the hospital deans’ attitudes to their professions.Methods: 105 deans were surveyed in the form of questionnaires and the responses were analyzed with the statistic method.Results: 60.9% of the deans were ready to do clinical work and research-and-teaching work;the lower-grade-hospital deans devoted more time to their original work;9.5% and 4.8% were respectively ready to merchandise or engage other careers;only 24.8% of the deans prefered to work in administrative agencies.Conclusion: The current military personnel system by which administrative leaders are chose and appointed needs further improving.
