Abstract
Objective To observe the protective effect of Salvianolic acid A on reperfusion injury in rabbits with in vitro ischemia. Methods A heart ischemia/reperfusion model was established to observe the effect of three Salvianolic acid A doses on hemodynamics, cardiac enzyme levels, and structure of cardiac muscle cells. Results Salvianolic acid A improved the hemodynamics and reduced the levels of CK-MB,LDH and MDA in a dose-dependent manner. The damage to the ultra-structure of cardiac muscle cells was milder in ischemia group than in control group. Conclusion Salvianolic acid A can protect rabbits against ischemia/reperfusion injury.
