Establishment of a rat model of the renal allograft by vascular stent connection

  • Objective To establish a new renal transplantation model of rats. Methods A renal transplantation model of rats was established using stent connection fixation instead of direct vascular anastromosis and urinary tract and bladder skin flap fistulization,with SD rats and Wistar rats as donors and recipients,respectively. Results Renal transplantation was performed in 30 rats with a success rate of 73.3%.The survival time of recipients was 5-10 days.The reasons of death included overdose of anesthetics,massive hemorrhage,arteriovenous thrombosis. Conclusion This new renal transplantation model is simple and feasible,and has certain application value for related experimental studies.
