Percutaneous ballon pulmonary valvuloplasty (PBPV)

Eight cases of pulmonary stenosis were treated by PBPV with singe-balloon（7 cases）and double-ballon（1 case）technique respectively since Fec.to Jul.,1988.After PBPV,the mean diameter of pulmonary valve orifice was dilated from 8.4 to 16.4 mm.The pressure gradiant from right ventricle to pulmonary artery was reduced from 114.2 to 49.4 mmHg,the systolic pressure of right ventricle was reduced trom 127.8 to 68.7 mmHg and the cardiac index was increased from 3.2 to 5.1 1/min/m².The patients were discharged 4 to 5 days after operation.
