Influence of duration of anesthesia or hemorrhagic hypotention on MAC of sevoflurane in rabbits

Objective: To observe the influence of duration of ansthesia or hemorrhagic hypotention on MAC of sevoflurane in rabbits. Methods: 20 New Zealand rabbits were randomly divided into normotensive group （group Ⅰ）, hemorrhagic hypotention group （group Ⅱ）. MAC of sevoflurane was determined once per hour with tail clamp in each group, which last 4 hour. Mean arterial pressure （MAP） of hemorrhage group was dropped to two third of baseline through carotid artery bloodletting. Results: MAC of sevoflurane in both group wasn′t effected by duration of anesthesia. Hemorrhagic hypotention might decrease MAC of sevoflurane by （27±5）%. Conclusion: Duration of anesthesia hardly works on MAC of sevoflurane, but hemorrhagic hypotention may decrease it.
