Risk factors for diabetic foot and its preventive care countermeasures

Objective: To study the risk factors for diabetic foot（DF） and its preventive care countermeasures. Methods: From January 2006 to January 2008,67 patients with DF were treated in our hospital.Age,sex,duration of diabetes,history of smoking and DF of the patients,as well as other information,were recorded.Logistic regression analysis of the risk factors for DF was performed. Results: The DF-related risk factors were found to be age（P＜0.01）,gender（P＜0.05）,history of smoking（P＜0.01） and HbA¹c level（P＜0.05）. Conclusion: DF-related risk factors are age,gender,history of smoking and HbA¹c level.Timely and effective intervention and positive foot care can prevent the occurrence of DF.
