Factors for pain after orthomorphia for ankylosing spondylitis and nursing strategies of its patients

  • Objective To study the factors for pain after orthomorphia for ankylosing spondylitis and nursing strategies of its patients. Methods Pain of 36 patients with ankylosing spondylitis before and 7 days after operation was evaluated according to the visual analogue scale(VAS). Results The low back pain was significantly relieved after operation.The pain of hands was most severe on day 1 after operation,which was then gradually decreased,especially 3 days after operation.The other pain sites were mainly located at hip joint and cervical spine. Conclusion Different factors are involved in pain of ankylosing spindylitis after operation.The patients should be nursed according to their pain extent and sites.
