Abstract
Objective: To reseach the function of human preiodontal ligament cell productions interleukin 6 (IL-6) and tumor necrosis factor (TNF) in response to porphyromonas gingivalis lipopolysaccharide (P.G LPS). Methods: IL-6 and TNF was measured by radioimmunoassay. Results: IL-6 was released from human preiodontal ligament cells stimulated by P. g-LPS, but TNF was not produced. Conclusion: The amount of IL-6 is related with the concentration of P.g-LPS in cell culture medium and the time of action.
