Correlation of coping styles in dealing with things and persons with the body and mental health in medical researchers

  • Objective To study the correlation of coping styles in dealing with things and persons with the body and mental health in medical researchers. Methods Copingstyles in dealing with things and persons,and body and mental health in 146 medical researchers with different professional titles were investigated with SAS,SDS,coping style questionnaire and self-rating sub-health checklist,and were compared between groups. Results The scores for anxiety and depression were lower in medical researchers than the national normal values(P<0.05).The scores for anxiety and depression were higher in associate researchers than in researchers and assistant researchers(P>0.05).The scores for self-blaming and imagination were higher in associate researchers than in researchers(P<0.05). Conclusion Anxiety and depression levels in associate researchers are the highest.Coping styles in dealing with things and persons significantly influence the body and mental health of medical researchers,and decreasing self-blame and illusion helps to release their anxiety and depression.
