Abstract
Objective To study the quality of life and related psychological factors of patients post concussion syndrome(PCS). Methods Quality of life and related psychological factors of 32 PCS patients were assessed by short form 36 health survey questionnaire(SF-36),self-rating depressive scale(SDS)and self-rating anxiety scale(SAS). Results The SF-36 dimension of PCS patients was significantly lower than that of controls(P<0.05).The SDS and SAS scores of PCS patients were significantly higher than those of controls(P<0.05).Except for pain and vitality,the other dimensions were negatively correlated with the score of SDS(P<0.05).Physical function and general health were negatively correlated with the scores of SAS(P<0.05). Conclusion The quality of life of PCS patients is lower than that of normal persons.The higher the scores of depression and anxiety are,the lower the quality of life of PCS patients is.
