Abstract
Objective To investigate the molecular feature and epidemiology of methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus(MRSA). Methods Twenty-two MRSA strains isolated from blood of patients in our hospital from January 2006 to December 2008 were collected.Their genotypes were determined by pulse field gel electrophoresis(PFGE). Results The finger printing of PFGE showed 6 genotypes(A-F)of MRSA strains including 13 of A,4 of B,2 of C,and 1 of D,E and F each.Among them,A and B were the major genotypes and could be further divided into 6 and 2 subtypes, respectively. Conclusion MRSA strains isolated from patients in our hospital have a rather close consanguinity at molecular level.
