Comparison of wound healing in donor site between hydrocolloid dressings and vaseline gauze: a clinical study

  • Objective: To observe the effect of hydrocolloid dressings on wound healing of the skin graft donor site.Methods: The wound healing of the skin graft donor site in adults was studied by clinic observation,bacteria culture.Results: The wound under the hydrocolloid dressings healed faster and the pain reaction is lighter than that of vaseline gauze group.There is no conditioned pathogen or clinic infection in both groups.Conclusions: The hydrocolloid dressings could createan occlusive moist environment that is beneficialfor the healing of the wound in a skin graft donor site.biological dressings;therapy of burns
