Study of the characteristics of different drugs on leukemia cells

Objective: To explore the characteristics of different drugs on the leukemia cells. Methods: 19 primary acute non lymphatic leukemia patients and K562 cell line's chemosensitivity to 7 kinds of drugs were evaluated with MTT assay in vitro. Results: Leukemia cells were sensitive to DNR, H, MIT and VM26. VM26 and H had unique effective curves. The effects of two drug combination were most equivalent to or better than the more effective ones. Conclusion: The characteristics of different drugs can be useful in the chemotherapy of leukemias.
