Primary anorectal malignant melanoma reports of 8 cases

Primary malignant melanoma of the anorectum(ARM ) is a rare disease,Eighe patients with this disease were treated at the General Hospital of PLA during the last 16 years.Seven patients received surgical treatment but none of them survived more than 5 years.The clinical results illustratey that ARM is a virulent malignancy associated with an extremely poor prognosis. Surgicaltreatment remains the mainstay for this disease.
