Intraperitoneal chemotherapy in gastrointestinal cancer in stage Ⅳ

Objective: To evaluate the short and long term therapeutic effects of intraperitoneal in gastrointestinal cancers in stage Ⅳ Methods: The patients were divided into two groupsintraperitoneal and palliative caregroup The short term effects and side effects were observed. The survival time of the patients was also recorded. The survival function was estimated by Kaplay Meier method, and the significant test was done by Logrank method Results: The middle survival time and one year survival rate of intraperitoneal group were significantly higher than palliative caregroup （P＜0.05）. Conclusion: The intraperitoneal chemotherapy in gastrointestinal cancers of stage Ⅳis valuable and of much benefit to the quality of life
