Treatment of brachiocephelic artery laceration involving aorta

  • Objective To study the brachiocephlic artery laceration involving aorta. Methods One case of carotid artery laceration and two cases of iatrogenic subclavicle artery laceration were included in this study. After failure of medication therapy, the patients underwent endovascular repair and surgical bypass. Results The three patients felt pain relief after operation. CT scan during the follow-up showed that the brachiocephlic artery was fixed with thrombosis in the false lumen. Conclusion Endovascular repair and surgical bypass are the feasible treatment modalities for brachiocephelic artery laceration involving aorta.
