Clinical application of Naproxen

Thirty patients with acute or chronic arthritis were treated with Naproxen 750—1125 g/ day) (or 8 weeks. Naproxen was found to have effect on controlling fever. The provement of linical parameters （including the index of painful and swollen joints, 50-meter lking time and rip strengh） in 26 cases of chronic arthritis were noticed when Naproxen was sed for 2 weeks nd a significant difference from pretreatment was found in the 8th week. The manifestations in atients with acute arthritis completely disappeared after 3-weeks treatment. Fifty percent of he patients showed good response to a regimen of Naproxen 750 mg/day, and the remaining cases ailed with 750 mg/day but revealed improvement when the dosage was increased to 1125 mg/day. o evere side effects were noticed in all cases.
