A clinical analysis of 33 cases of Dieulafoy lesion

  • Objective: To explore the clinical characteristics,diagnosis and treatment of Dieulafoy lesion. Methods: Thirty three patients with confirmed diagnosis of Dieulafoy lesion in our hospital were retrospectively analyzed and followed up. Results: 21 patients underwent successful endoscopic haemostasis and no patients had recurrent bleeding.4 patients underwent embolotherapy or surgery due to unsuccessful endoscopic treatment.1 patient received direct surgical treatment and 7 patients without active hemorrhage did not bleed after conservative treatment. Conclusion: Dieulafoy lesion can be diagnosed by means of endoscopy.Endoscopic therapy should be the first choice for Dieulafoy lesion,and the patients who failed in endoscopic therapy can be treated with embolotherapy and surgery.
