Abstract
Objective: To study the outflow of aqueous humor in chronic hypotony following anterior proliferative vitreoretinopathy(aPVR),and to demonstrate the physiologic mechanisms of it.Methods: Model of hypotony folloeing aPVR was made by cultured homologous rabbit dermal fibroblasts on pigmented rabbits 14th, 28th and 56th days postoperately, the uveoscleral outflow of aqueous humor was tested. Results: Two weeks postoperatively, the uveoscleral outflow of aqueous humorin experimental and control groups were similar, but both of them were more than that in normal group remarkably Four and eight weeks postoperatively, the uveoscleral outflow of aqueous humorin experimental group was more than that in control group significantly Conclusions:The hypotony following aPVR was associated with increased uveoscleral outflow of aqueous humor
