Study on the possible cause of epilepsia by CT in 60 children

Computerized Tomography（CT）was perforned in 60 children with epilepsia of unknown cause.The incidence of abnormal CT was 56.6%.Focal atrophy of cerebrum and focal low density in cerebral parenchyma were found in 26 cases（76.5%）.It is claimed that the cause of epilepsia in children is frequently related to head injury.Abnormal CT well correlates with EEG,as shown by the fact that when EEG shows focal abnormality,the incidence of CT abnormality may be as high as 87%.
