Abstract
Diagnostic lumbar puncture was performed in 230 outpatients, with post-lumbar puncture headache (PLPH) in 33 cases (9 men and 24 women). The incidence of PLPH in women (25%) was higher remarkably than that in man (6.7%) (P<0.001). The incidence in the younger adults differed significantly from that in the older (P<0.05). The results also showed that the PLPH incidence had no correlation with the season, terminal pressure of cerebrospinal fluid and intake of water.
