Significance of serum lipid and lipoprotein levels in patients with cardiovascular disease,diabetes and cancer

Objective To study the significance of serum lipid level in patients with cardiovascular disease,diabetes and cancer. Methods Serum levels of total cholesterol（CH）,high-density lipoprotein（HDL）,low-density lipoprotein（LDL）,triglycerides（TG）,apolipoprotein A1（ApoA1）,apolipoprotein B（ApoB） and lipoprotein（lpa） were measured in 146 patients with cardiovascular disease,71 patients with diabetes,74 patients with cancer and 76 healthy controls with a Hitachi automatic biochemistry analyzer. Results The serum levels of CH,ApoA1,LDL,HDL,Lpa,TG,and ApoB were significantly higher in patients with cardiovascular disease,diabetics and cancer than in controls（P＜0.05）. Conclusion The serum lipid level is different in patients with different diseases which can be early discovered by measuring the serum lipid level.
