Clinical analysis of 29 cases of SARS

Objective:To investigate clinical features and treatment of severe acute respiratory syndrome （SARS ）. Methods:29cases of SARS patients’clinical data were analyzed retrospectively.Results:All the 29 cases had fever at the early stage of the disease.25cases had close contact with other SARS patients before their fever.Eight cases had leucopenia，and 22 had progressing leukocyte decreasing.All patients’chest radiographs showed large area of interstitial infiltrates or shadows.29 patients received antibiotics and ant-i virus drugs treatments.Severe SARS patients received methylprenisolone and non-invasive mechanical ventilation.Results:Both epidemiologic history and clinical findings are the major evidences for clinical diagnosis of SARS.Large dose of adrenal steroid and mechanical ventilation may be valuable for severe SARS patients.
