Clinical analysis of 77 patients with eyelid tumors

Objective: To analyze the clinical and histopathologic classification and surgical procedure of eyelid tumors.Methods: The age differentiation and clinical feature of 77 patients with eyelid tumor between 1993 and 2005 were retrospectively analyzed.The attentive programs in the operation were discussed according to the characteristic of the cases.Results: The two leading malignant lid tumors were basal cell carcinomas and meibomian gland carcinomas,the two leading benign were pigmented nevi and dermoid cysts.75 patients were treated by operation and the lid carcinomas of 2 patients were not removed because of tumor metastasis.Conclusion: The outcome of analysis to eyelid tumor is favorable to instruct clinical diagnosis and treatment.
