The effect of UVC radiation on pertoneal cell chemiluminescence (CL) and IL-1 activity in mice

In the present paper,the effect of UVC radiation of different doses and times on the peritoneal cell CL are determined by phagocyte CL method,using mice as the models.Within the range of medium and small doses,phagocytic function increased as the dosage went up.A significant change was observed in the group with a single radiafion of 136mJ/cm²（P＜0.05）.Inhibition of phagocytic function did not occur when a very large dose（1085mJ/cm）was used.After UVC radiation in dose of 136mJ/cm,IL-1 activity did not change significantly.The number of mouse peritoneal cell did not show significant change in all the experimental groups.
