Abstract
Objective: To explor the effect of breviscapine(Bre) on lipid peroxidation in hepatic ischemia-reperfusion injury(HIRI).Methods: The HIRI model was used.Sixteen rabbits were randomly divided into control group(n=8) and Bre group(n=8).The superoxide dismutase(SOD) activity, malondialdehyde(MDA) content in hepatic tissue were observed, and obsvered the cell structure of the liver microscope at reperfusion 60 min. Results: The SOD activity and MDA content of Bre group,as compared with control group, showed significant differences(P<0.01).The change of the cell structure in Bre group is lighter than in the control group. Conclusion: Bre has notable anti-lipid peroxidation effect on HIRI,which is due to its inhibiting the generation of oxygen free radicals and its strengthening scavenging of oxygen free radicals.liver;reperfusion injury;superoxide dismutase;malondialdehyde;drugs, chinese nerbal
