Analysis of Helicobacter pylori eradication in 232 patients using ¹³C-urea breath test

Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of H.pylori eradication rate using internationalgold standard method, ¹³C-urea breathe test. Methods: Triple therapy,including proton pump for one week or two weeks course,were used in 232 patients with H.pylori-associated gastritis. After therapeutic termination at least one month, ¹³C-urea breath test was assayed to access the efficacy. Results: Eradication rate of H.pylori infection was 73.3%. Eradication rate in 1 week course was 72.6%,and in 2 weeks course was 73.7% respectively. Conclusion: Eradication rate of H.pylori from our data was lower than that from most of previous references. 1 week therapy course or 2 weeks therapy course had the similar eradication rate.
