Treatment of Acute Bleeding of Superior Digestive Trace in 81 Patients in the Intensive Care Unit of Neurosurgery

Eighty-one patients with acute bleeding of superior digestive tract treated in the intensive care unit （ICU） of neurosurgery from Mar. 1986 to Apr. 1992 werereported. With conventional therapy 75 patients（92.6％）were cured, 24（29.6％）improved, and 16（19.8％） died. 3 patients were treated by DSA and embolization. Another 3 patients were administered with Omeprazole, a new inhibitor of gastric acid secration. All 6 patients obtained satisfied effects. Meanwhile, ICU was favourahle for management of bleeding of superior digestive tract.
