Irrigation of antibiotics and suction-drainage for treatment of osteomyelitis

  • post-debridement irrigation-suction-drainage is a effective local antibiotic therapy inosteomyelitis. There are the following advanges: it is operated simply; Primary wound closuregives a high concentration of local antibiotics; drainage is complete; antibiotics is used specifical.ly with least toxic side effects.In this group, twenty patients were treated with irrigation suct-ion-drainage after complete debrldement, average irrigation time is 15 days,ofthem two patientswere treated again because of infected recurrence. it has prominent effect, without second recu-rrence for 1 to 10 years of follow-up, the total effective rate is 80%.
