Value of spiral CT in diagnosis of the SARS

Objective:Evaluating pulmonary CT examination in differentiating the severe acute respiratory syndrome （SARS） or infectious atypical pneumonia from the other pulmonary disease among epidemical period.Methods:Reviewing the feature of 50chest X-ray films and CT films among the cases in fever as first symptom.Results:There were 3 cases of SARS in groundglass opacities by CT image but normal on X—ray film of the lung.Conclusion:CT is the best method in image diagnosis of the SARS in early stage.
