Hepatosplenogenic fungal infection after chemotherapy for acute leukemia: A case report

  • Objective To improve the awareness of hepatosplenogenic fungal infection after chemotherapy for acute leukemia. Methods Therapeutic effects of acute leukemia and hepatosplenogenic fungal infection were reported and relevant literature was reviewed. Results Hepatosplenogenic fungal infection was diagnosed based on its clinical symptoms and signs,hematological,histological and imaging examinations.Antifungal treatment was continued until all clinical symptoms and signs disappeared and hematological,histological and imaging examinations became negative. Conclusion The positive rate of hepatosplenogenic fungal infection is not high.Its imaging and clinical manifestations are non-specific.It should be differentially diagnosed from other diseases and early treated with targeted therapies.
