Neurotropin for allergic dermatoses

From August thrugh November 1994,a clinical investigation of the efficacy and safety of “NEU-ROTROPIN”(a biological product) ,was conducted involving 84 patients(50 females and 34 males) with various deramtoses including chronic eczema 41 cases,allergic dermatitis 19 cases,urticaria 20 case and other dermatoses 4 cases.Each patient was given 3 ml of “neurotropin”daily injected intramuscularly for a perird of 2 weeks. Clinical response as assessed after a 2 week course of treatment was“remarkable”in 28 cases(33.3%) and “effective”in 25 cases(29.8%) .with a total effective rate of 63.1%. Untoward reactions occurred in 4 of 84 cases(4.8%) .The result of the present study closely resembles that in the preliminany report in the Japanese literature.
