Effect of health education to the detectable rate of Eales' disease relative risk factors among recruits

  • Objective:Health education is carried out between investigation and pre-investigation of Eales' disease epidemiology among recruits.To compare the detectable rate of them and appraise the effect of health education.Methods: 300 subjects were selected among the 3 288 recruits of the year of 2003~2006 before investigation.We organized all sort of health education.One month later,the formal investigation was carried out.After that,the data was processed in the computer and analyzed the difference of them.Results: The detectable rate of the history of tuberculosis(P=0.02),smoking(P<0.01),drinking(P<0.01) and refractive error(P<0.01) were higher than that of pre-investigation.Conclusion:Active health education not only can improve the reliability of Eales' questionnaire but be good to the health of recruits.
