Abstract
The results of clinico-pathological studies on 17 cases of primary brain-stem hemorrhage were reported. The hematoma was situated in the midbrain in 4 cases, the pons in 12 and the medulla oblongata in 1. After comparing the clinical features, it suggests that large primary brainstem hemorrhage ont only overextend to other areas, but may also cause damage to distant place and that more than two foci may be seen.
